Dr. Amanda Jilovec, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner independently licensed to provide mental health care across the lifespan. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from The University of Iowa.
Dr. Jilovec provides individualized, evidence-based psychiatric care that includes comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, psychopharmacologic management, and the integration of therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Her clinical interests include the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Additionally, she holds a passion for maternal mental health, supporting women through perinatal and postpartum transitions.
With more than 15 years of experience in adult inpatient psychiatry, Dr. Jilovec brings extensive expertise in crisis stabilization and the delivery of mental health care in both inpatient mental health and hospital settings.
Dr. Jilovec believes in providing inclusive and holistic care, valuing the importance of creating a safe, affirming environment for all individuals. She enjoys serving a diverse patient population and emphasizes collaboration and joint decision-making to empower patients in their treatment journey. She recognizes the vital impact of social determinants of health, such as access to care, housing, relationships, and community support, on overall well-being. She is also a strong advocate for early intervention, recognizing that timely identification and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders lead to optimal long-term outcomes. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and centered on helping individuals achieve stability, resilience, and improved quality of life.
