ARNP, PMHNP-BC
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with nearly 30 years of mental health experience. I have training and experience with crisis intervention in the inpatient and emergency department settings, but have been focusing on treating mental health issues in private practice in outpatient settings for the past 20+ years.
Seeking mental health services is challenging and takes a lot of courage. I subscribe to the belief that we all deserve to live our best lives, and our mental health and general sense of well-being play a major role in our overall sense of wellness. I approach mental health from a holistic perspective, recognizing that medication management is only one aspect of that approach. I believe that when we work on improving mental health, we must do that as a team—where your input, goals, and feedback are an integral part of reaching your full potential. This may also involve collaborating with other members of your life, including family, therapists, your primary care provider, or other specialists who participate in your care.
I specialize in treating adults ages 18 through lifespan and currently am accepting new clients ages 18 through 62, who struggle with mood disorders (including depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders, trauma, ADHD, and a wide variety of mental health concerns.
Following a comprehensive evaluation, I utilize an evidence-based approach with medication management and various solution-focused supportive therapy interventions to manage and treat mental health struggles. We will examine all aspects of health, including physical, social, financial, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, as our mental health is intricately tied to all of those areas.
